In December 2003 I bought my first digital SLR camera, a Nikon D100. It did not meter with my old manual focus Nikkor 300mm f4.5 lens, and so exposure was a matter of guesswork. This first-winter female American robin was photographed at Godrevy in Cornwall on December 21 2003 by also using a Sigma 2x converter.
