24. Common kingfisher. Male Moulia 14/4 (below). One E 15/4.

25. BLUE-CHEEKED BEE-EATER. I found three at E on the afternoon of 19/4. I watched them while hidden in a treeline until about 18.10h, when they called, gained height and flew N. I think this is a new species for me - I'd seen green bee-eaters in Israel previously, but these turned out to be little greens. The birds in Cyprus hawked bees and called a lot.

26. Hoopoe. Singles seen at PH, Moulia and near PSW.

27. Short-toed lark. Only a few seen - one Moulia 14/4, ca. 5 E 15/4, ca.8 PH 16/4.

28. Crested lark. Common.
