| New Zealand 1999 | |
| In 1999 I spent a month in Fiordland on the South Island of New Zealand doing research on the short-tailed bat Mystacina tuberculata, which spends a lot of its time foraging on the ground. This is the bat, and Jane Sedgeley climbing a tree to set a harp tarp to capture long-tailed bats.
Milford Sound, and near Hollyford Valley (bottom right).

 Key Summit and a Takahe.
 Near Homer Tunnel.
 Franz Josef Glacier
