In March 1992 I spent 3 days underground at the Nietoperek Bat Reserve in Poland with Tomasz Kokuriewicz. These are old war fortifications and weapons strorage depots built by the Nazis, and then taken over by the Red Army. I've kept a Red Army button I found on the floor. The site is no one of the most important bat hibernacula in Europe.
