More Cory's shearwaters Almost all of the Cory's shearwaters were classic borealis individuals, with dark primary tips (see above) but the second from left bird below shows inner webs of the primaries white with dark borders - a characteristic of Scopoli's shearwater Calonectris diomedea diomedea. The head looks paler too. I also had good views of my first-ever BULWER'S PETREL from the whale watching boat. These free-living blue-crowned conures lived around Los Gigantes |
