Toronto 2011

I attended the North American Symposium on Bat Research hosted by the University of Toronto. I travelled with my daughter Ramona who is taking a gap year, and we were given an executive suite at the Metropolitan Hotel because the hotel lost our booking! It was my first time in Toronto for 17 years, and my recollection of the city as being friendly and easy to get around still held up. A trip to Ward's Island just offshore on Lake Ontario was excellent, with many migrants passing through. I took the 400mm lens, the 1D4 and the 1.4x converter (and the Smartphone) to take a few snaps.
