Upland sandpiper |
|
I went to photograph the upland sandpiper at Kingston Seymour on 20 November. The bird had been present for over a week, and was enduring stiff overnight frosts. The morning was still and very misty, and views of the bird were initially hampered by the poor visibility.
I took some photos of a stonechat in the frosty conditions.
The upland sandpiper started feeding, somewhat lethargically, in the frosty field.
Eventually the sun burnt off the mist, and everyone was treated to some stunning views of the bird.
