My wildlife photography blog had its 10th birthday in January 2013. I work at the University of Bristol as a Professor in the School of Biological Sciences. I teach mammal diversity, evolution, bat biology and bioacoustics. My research is on the ecology, conservation and evolutionary biology of bats. The links on the left will take you to a month-by-month diary of my birding trips, illustrated with photographs. I've also included some links about my research. For information about my camera gear and image processing, go here.
